Kim has had fantastic success working for clients whose friends and family members are not able to communicate for themselves, such as those with Alzheimer's or Dementia, terminal illness, Autism, mentally handicapped or any disease where the patient is locked in the body and not able to communicate with those around them. In the case of terminally ill patients, who may still be able to communicate, she has found that a long-distance Reiki session can be quite helpful to friends and family members to let them truly know how the person is doing.

For this type of Reiki, Kim is generally working with friends or family members who ask her to connect to their loved ones on their behalf. Some of these sessions have included:

• A 6-year old cancer patient in hospice care. Kim was able to let the family know that she had no fears about what was coming next and she was perfectly content to make her transition. This information provided much peace and comfort for her family during this difficult time.
  

• A woman with advanced stage Alzheimer's whose daughter wanted to connect with her to see how she was. It tuned out that she was doing quite well...she was not suffering and was actually experiencing quite a bit of lightness and gratitude for her life as she reviewed it from a different space than most of us might experience. She also gave me information for her daughters and grandchildren, which was very comforting to them and also endorsed that I had indeed (through Reiki) made an authentic connection to the mother and grandmother they love so much.

• A long-term Alzheimer's patient whose family had decided to stop nourishment. This patient passed soon after the reading but was able to let his family know he was in a very good space and also reviewing his life. An over-achiever and workaholic during much of his life, he passed on the message to his family to “seize the day and take more time for what's important.” This message resonated so strongly with them, it became part of his eulogy.

Kim is very grateful to have this gift and loves doing this to help others, especially in times when comfort is needed and appreciated. Generally Kim communicates with a client by phone or email prior to a session and then sends a written statement of what occurred during the session There may be follow up communication as well, if needed.

Although Kim is located in Atlanta, GA this utilizes long-distance Reiki and can be performed no matter where the client is located.
